Gibberellic Acid GA3 Classification and Usage
Gibberellic Acid GA3 is a broad-spectrum plant growth regulator that is widely used in fruit trees.  It has the effect of accelerating plant growth and development and promoting cell elongation.  It is often used to induce parthenocarpy, preserve flowers and fruits.

So how to use Gibberellic Acid GA3?  What are the functions of Gibberellic Acid GA3?

How to use Gibberellic Acid GA3?
1.  Gibberellic Acid GA3 powder:
Gibberellic Acid GA3 powder is insoluble in water.  When using it, first dissolve it with a small amount of alcohol or white wine, then add water to dilute it to the required concentration.  The aqueous solution is prone to failure, so it must be prepared immediately before use.  Do not mix with alkaline pesticides to avoid ineffectiveness.

For example, pure Gibberellic Acid GA3 (1g per pack) can be dissolved in 3-5 ml of alcohol first, then mixed with 100kg of water to become a 10ppm solution, and mixed with 66.7kg of water to become a 15ppm aqueous solution.  If the content of Gibberellic Acid GA3 powder used is 80% (1 gram per package), it must be dissolved with 3-5 ml of alcohol first, and then mixed with 80 kg of water, which is a 10ppm diluent, and mixed with 53 kg of water.  It is 15ppm liquid.

2.  Gibberellic Acid GA3 aqueous agent:
Gibberellic Acid GA3 aqueous agent generally does not require alcohol to be dissolved during use, and can be used directly after dilution.  At present, the main products on the market are 4% Gibberellic Acid GA3 aqueous agent and the practical agent Caibao, which can be diluted directly when used, and the dilution factor is 1200-1500 times.

Application of Gibberellic Acid GA3 on vegetables
1.Gibberellic Acid GA3 delays aging and preserves freshness.
Before harvesting cucumbers, spray the cucumbers with 25-35 mg/kg once to extend the storage period. Before the watermelon is harvested, spraying the watermelon once with 25-35mg/kg can extend the storage period. Dip the base of garlic sprouts at 40-50 mg/kg and treat them once for 10-30 minutes, which can inhibit the upward transport of organic matter and preserve freshness.

2. Gibberellic Acid GA3 protects flowers and fruits and promotes fruit growth .
tomatoes,25-35 mg/kg Spray flowers once during the flowering period to promote fruit setting and prevent hollow fruits.
Eggplant, 25-35 mg/kg, spray once during flowering period to promote fruit setting and increase yield.
Pepper, 20-40 mg/kg, spray once during flowering period to promote fruit setting and increase yield.
Watermelon, 20mg/kg, spray once during flowering period to promote fruit setting and increase yield. Or spray young melons once during the young melon stage to promote the growth of young melons and increase production.

3. Gibberellic Acid GA3 promotes vegetative growth.

Celery
should be marketed early. 15 to 30 days before harvest, 35 to 50 mg/kg. Spray once every 3 to 4 days for a total of 2 times. The yield will increase by more than 25%. The stems and leaves will be enlarged and marketed early. 5~6 days.
For leeks, spray 20mg/kg when the plant is 10cm tall or 3 days after harvesting to increase yield by more than 15%.

Mushrooms
400mg/kg, when the primordium is formed, dip the block into the material to enlarge the fruiting body and increase the yield.

4. Gibberellic Acid GA3 induces male flowers and increases seed production yield.
When producing cucumber seeds, spray 50-100mg/kg Gibberellic Acid GA3 when the seedlings have 2-6 true leaves. This can reduce female flowers and increase male flowers, making female cucumber plants male and female same strain.

5.Gibberellic Acid GA3 promotes bolting and flowering and improves the breeding coefficient of improved seeds.
Spraying plants or dripping growing points with 50 to 500 mg/kg of Gibberellic Acid GA3 can make 2-year-old sunshine crops such as carrots, cabbage, radish, celery, and Chinese cabbage bolt under short-day conditions before overwintering.

6. Gibberellic Acid GA3 break dormancy.

use 200 mg/kg of gibberellin and soak the seeds at a high temperature of 30 to 40°C for 24 hours before germination. This method can successfully break the dormancy of lettuce seeds. This method is more trouble-free than the folk method of hanging seeds from deep wells, and the germination is stable. To break the dormancy of potato tubers, soak potato slices with 0.5-2 mg/kg Gibberellic Acid GA3 solution for 10-15 minutes, or soak whole potatoes with 5-15 mg/kg for 30 minutes.

Varieties with short dormancy periods have lower concentrations and longer ones have higher concentrations. To break the dormancy of strawberry plants, in strawberry greenhouse promoted cultivation or semi-promoted cultivation, the greenhouse should be kept warm for 3 days, that is, when more than 30% of the flower buds appear. Spray 5ml of 5~10mg/kg Gibberellic Acid GA3 solution on each plant, focusing on the heart leaves, which can Make the top inflorescence bloom in advance, promote growth and mature earlier.

7. It is an antagonist of inhibitors such as Paclobutrazol (Paclo) and Chlormequat Chloride (CCC).
The harm caused by excessive use of antioxidants in tomatoes can be relieved by 20 mg/kg Gibberellic Acid GA3.
