Chlormequat Chloride CCC Functions
1. Chlormequat Chloride effectively controls plant vegetative growth, thereby increasing fruit set.
2. Chlormequat Chloride significantly regulates crop growth, promoting tillering and increasing ear number, thereby increasing yield.
Use of Chlormequat Chloride increases chlorophyll content, resulting in a richer green leaf color, enhanced photosynthesis, and more developed leaves and root systems.
3. By inhibiting the biosynthesis of endogenous gibberellins, Chlormequat Chloride delays cell elongation, resulting in dwarfed plants, thicker stems, and shorter internodes. This mechanism helps prevent plants from growing too tall and falling over.
4. Chlormequat Chloride also improves root water absorption, thereby enhancing plant resistance to stresses such as drought, cold, salinity, and disease.
5. Leaves treated with Chlormequat Chloride have fewer stomata, which in turn reduces transpiration rate and further improves drought resistance.
6. Chlormequat Chloride is easily enzymatically degraded in soil and is not easily fixed by the soil. Because it does not contain chlorine or bromine atoms, it is environmentally friendly and harmless.
