Fruit trees such as grapes, apples, pears, peaches, and cherries are often affect by low temperature and cold weather, and a large number of flowers and fruits often fall, resulting in reduce yields and reduce economic benefits. Treatment with plant growth regulators can not only increase the fruit setting rate, but also promote fruit enlargement, increase yield and quality, and greatly reduce the labor intensity of fruit farmers.

What is Thidiazuron(TDZ)

Thidiazuron (TDZ) is a urea plant growth regulator. It can be use under high concentration conditions for cotton, processed tomatoes, peppers and other crops. After being absorbed by plant leaves, it can promote early leaf shedding, which is beneficial to mechanical harvesting. ; Use under low concentration conditions, it has cytokinin activity and can be used in apples, pears, peaches, cherries, watermelons, melons and other crops to increase fruit setting rate, promote fruit enlargement, and increase yield and quality.

Main features of Thidiazuron(TDZ)

(1)Thidiazuron (TDZ) preserves flowers and fruits:
Thidiazuron (TDZ) is a cytokinin at low concentrations and has strong biological activity. It can induce plant cell division and callus tissue better than ordinary cytokinins. More than a thousand times higher, when used during the flowering period of fruit trees, it can induce parthenocarpy, stimulate ovary enlargement, improve pollen fertilization, prevent flower and fruit drop, thereby significantly increasing the fruit setting rate.

(2) Thidiazuron (TDZ) enlarges fruits:
Thidiazuron (TDZ) can induce plant cell division and promote cell division.  When use in the young fruit stage, it has a significant promotion effect on cell division, and has both horizontal and vertical growth of organs.  Promoting effect, thus playing the role of enlarging the fruit.

(3) Thidiazuron (TDZ) prevents premature aging:
At low concentrations, Thidiazuron (TDZ) increases photosynthesis, promotes chlorophyll synthesis in leaves, promotes leaf color to deepen and turn green, prolongs the green time, and delays leaf aging.

(4)Thidiazuron (TDZ) Increase yield:
Thidiazuron (TDZ) induces plant cell division, promotes vertical and horizontal expansion of young fruits, promotes rapid expansion of young fruits, reduces the proportion of small fruits, and significantly increases yield.
On the other hand, it can promote the synthesis of green leaves, prevent premature aging of leaves, promote the transport of proteins, sugars and other substances into the fruit, increase the sugar content of the fruit, improve the quality of the fruit, and improve the marketability.

Thidiazuron(TDZ) applicable crops

Thidiazuron (TDZ) can be used on grapes, apples, pears, peaches, dates, apricots, cherries and other fruit trees, as well as melon crops such as watermelons and melons.

Thidiazuron(TDZ) usage technology

(1) Use of Thidiazuron (TDZ) on grapes:
Use it for the first time about 5 days after the grapes bloom, and use it for the second time 10 days apart.  Use 0.1% Thidiazuron (TDZ) aqueous solution 170 to 250 times (mixed with water per 10 ml) 1.7 to 2.5 kg) evenly spray, focusing on the ear, can effectively prevent flower and fruit drop, promote fruit enlargement, and form seedless fruits.  The average weight of a single grain increases by 20%, the average soluble solid content reaches 18%, and the yield can increase by up to 20%.

(2) Use Thidiazuron (TDZ) on apples:
Use it once each during the apple flowering stage, young fruit stage and fruit expansion stage.  Use 150-200 times of 0.1% Thidiazuron (TDZ) aqueous solution to evenly spray flowers and fruits to prevent flower falling.  Fruit drop promotes fruit enlargement, forming high piles of apples, with brighter coloring, a net increase in single fruit weight of about 25 grams, an average fruit shape index of over 0.9, an increase in soluble solids by more than 1.3%, an increase in full red fruit rate of 18%, and an increase in yield of up to 13%.  ~21%.

(3) Use Thidiazuron (TDZ) on peach trees:
Use it once during the peach blooming period and 20 days after flowering. Use 200 to 250 times of 0.1% Thidiazuron (TDZ) aqueous solution to evenly spray the flowers and young fruits, which can improve fruit setting . promoting rapid fruit enlargement, brighter coloring, and early ripening.

(4) Use Thidiazuron (TDZ) for cherries:
Spray once in the flowering stage and young fruit stage of cherries with 180-250 times of 0.1% Thidiazuron (TDZ) aqueous solution, which can increase the fruit setting rate and promote rapid fruit expansion. , the fruit matures 10 days earlier, and the yield can increase by more than 20 to 40%.
