Biostimulant, also known as plant strengtheners, is a biologically derived substance that, when applied to plants, seeds, soil or culture media, improves the plant's ability to utilize nutrients, reduces nutrient loss to the environment, or provides other direct or indirect benefits to plant growth and development or stress response, including but not limited to bacteria or microbial agents, biochemical materials, amino acids, humic acid, fulvic acid, seaweed extracts and other similar materials.

Biostimulant is an organic material that can improve plant growth and development at a very low application rate.  Such a response cannot be attributed to the application of traditional plant nutrition.  It has been shown that biostimulants affect several metabolic processes, such as respiration, photosynthesis, nucleic acid synthesis and ion absorption.

The role of biostimulant
1. Biostimulant can improve the quality of agricultural products and increase agricultural product yields
Biostimulant can improve the quality attributes of agricultural products and increase crop yields by increasing chlorophyll content and photosynthesis efficiency.

2. Biostimulant can improve resource utilization
Biostimulant promotes the absorption, movement and use of nutrients and water by crops, allowing plants to better utilize natural resources.

3.  Biostimulant can help crops resist environmental stress
In agricultural production, Biostimulant improves crop resistance to stress, mainly in terms of drought resistance, salt resistance, low temperature resistance, and disease resistance.

4.  Biostimulant can help crops improve their growth environment
Biostimulant can improve some physical and chemical properties of the soil, form a good aggregate structure, dissolve phosphorus and potassium, and increase the effective nutrient content of the soil.

5.  Biostimulant has a certain preventive and control effect on pests and diseases
Biostimulant has some pesticide characteristics, has a certain preventive and control effect on pests and diseases, and has obvious crop targeting.
