Thidiazuron and Ethephon are used to accelerate cotton boll drying
This mixture is primarily used for accelerating cotton boll drying. It is applied when cotton bolls are 60-70% naturally open, showing rapid effects; cotton stops growing within 24 hours, dies within 3 days, and is essentially dried out within 7 days. It is currently the most efficient cotton boll drying agent used in my country.

In recent years, it has gradually replaced paraquat + Ethephon mixtures, avoiding side effects such as cotton leaves dying but not falling off, cotton boll stunting, and hindering machine harvesting. Extensive experimental research shows that thiazuron combined with ethylene, while accelerating cotton ripening, causes all cotton leaves to fall off, facilitating mechanical harvesting.
Major cotton production bases abroad almost entirely use mechanical harvesting. Mechanical cotton harvesting in my country is just beginning. With the increasing value of labor, mechanical cotton harvesting will be an inevitable direction for my country's development, and Thidiazuron·Ethephon will be one of the promising plant growth regulators.
