Plant growth regulators have been registered on 23 kinds of vegetables. These vegetables cover multiple families, including 5 kinds of cruciferous vegetables, 4 kinds of Solanaceae and Cucurbitaceae vegetables, and 3 kinds of Liliaceae vegetables. In addition, 1 vegetable each from Leguminosae, Apiaceae, Chenopodiaceae, Zingiberaceae, Dioscoreaceae and Edible Fungi has been registered. In terms of the number of registered products, tomatoes topped the list with 135 products, followed by cucumbers and potatoes, with 36 and 51 products registered, respectively. The number of registered products for cabbage, celery, spinach and peppers also exceeded 10.

In summary, the current registered vegetable varieties are rich, including tomatoes, cucumbers, etc., but the distribution is uneven, and there are fewer registered products for niche vegetables. For example, vegetables from Solanaceae, Cucurbitaceae, Cruciferae, Apiaceae and Chenopodiaceae account for the majority of registered products. However, some niche vegetables such as green onions, leeks, wax gourds, asparagus, carrots and cabbages have not yet been registered. At the same time, there are relatively few registered products for common eggplants and cowpeas, while only one product is registered for vegetables such as radish, Chinese cabbage, wild rice, garlic and onion. In terms of product types, the number of single agents is significantly higher than that of compound agents, accounting for 81.55% and 18.45% of the registered products respectively.
