Functions
**Crops Suitable for Mepiquat Chloride**
Mepiquat chloride is suitable for the vast majority of common crops, including field crops (cotton, wheat, rice, peanuts), vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, legumes), and cash crops (grapes, flowers, mangoes). It offers a high safety profile and can be applied even during sensitive growth stages.

**General Application Guidelines for Mepiquat Chloride**
Concentration: For standard 25% Mepiquat chloride aqueous solution, use 15–30 ml per mu, diluted in 30 kg of water for uniform spraying; alternatively, use a dilution ratio of 300–500 times.
Interval: Apply twice with an interval of 7–8 days. This aligns with the absorption patterns of most crops, allowing for gentle, sustained control of excessive vegetative growth while avoiding growth inhibition caused by a single excessive dose.

**Crop-Specific Application Points**
Cotton: Apply for the first time at the 3–5 leaf stage and a second time at the 7–8 leaf stage; gradually increase the dosage from 0.5–1 g per mu to 1–1.5 g (based on 25% aqueous solution).
Peppers: Use a mixture of 10 g of 5% prohexadione-calcium and 10 ml of 25% Mepiquat chloride diluted in 15 catties (30 jin) of water; apply twice with a 7–8 day interval. This is suitable for fields showing moderate excessive vegetative growth.
Wheat: Use a Paclobutrazol-Mepiquat chloride compound formulation; spray between the green-up stage and the early jointing stage, with two applications spaced 7–8 days apart. This controls excessive growth while enhancing lodging resistance.

**Key Precautions**
Avoid spraying during the high heat of midday; apply before 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM to prevent excessive absorption, which could cause yellowing of leaf margins.
Do not use on weak seedlings or in drought-stricken fields lacking irrigation; follow the principle of "spray vigorous crops, not weak ones; spray moist crops, not dry ones."
Do not mix Mepiquat chloride with alkaline pesticides; if rainfall occurs within 6 hours of application, a follow-up spray is required.
