Forchlorfenuron (KT-30) is often used in combination with gibberellin. Trials have shown that spraying Kyoho grape clusters once with a mixture of Forchlorfenuron (KT-30) and gibberellin—10 and 20 days after full bloom—allows seedless berries to grow to the same size as seeded ones, increasing fruit size by up to 50%.

Characteristics of Forchlorfenuron (KT-30):

1. Forchlorfenuron promotes cell division and fruit enlargement. It significantly stimulates cell division and enhances both lateral and longitudinal growth of plant organs, thereby causing the fruit to enlarge.

2. Forchlorfenuron delays leaf senescence, prolongs the period of greenness, enhances chlorophyll synthesis, boosts photosynthesis, and deepens the green color of the leaves.

3. Forchlorfenuron breaks apical dominance and promotes lateral bud sprouting. It induces bud differentiation, stimulates the formation of lateral branches, increases the number of branches and flowers, and improves pollen viability, thereby increasing fruit quantity and overall yield.

4. Forchlorfenuron improves crop quality and marketability. It induces parthenocarpy, stimulates ovary enlargement, prevents flower and fruit drop, promotes protein synthesis, and increases sugar content.
